About the Workshop
This session introduces the foundational principles of open culture—a framework for fostering collaboration, creativity, and community in education. Participants will explore how open educational practices empower students as co-creators of knowledge, promote inclusive pedagogy, and make learning more adaptable and representative of diverse voices. At the conclusion of the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Define open culture and its role in inclusive education.
- Explore the 3 C’s of open culture (collaboration, creation, and connection).
- Identify strategies to implement open educational practices (OEP) at their institutions.
Participation at the live session is encouraged, but all registered attendees can also watch back live content asynchronously. Additionally, at the conclusion of the webinar, participants will gain access to a series of open learning modules built in D2L Brightspace.
